The chinese chicken burger is probably the best burger I had in Japan so far compared to the US burgers. I also order raki-pote fries and the oolong float. The burger was great, the fries were good too. They reminded me of poutine fries. The float caught me off guard because of bad wifi I thought I ordered a beer with ice cream on top. It was a surprise when I realized it was tea. The wait was very long though. There are other chain locations that don’t have as long of a wait.

We stopped at Lucky Pierrot in Hakodate after hearing so many recommendations about it. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. When we arrived, there were only about four people waiting outside and several more inside. We expected some wait time, but the service moved incredibly slowly. There was one older employee taking orders, another serving dine-in customers, and several people working in the kitchen (one of them was frying some dark color foods). Yet each order seemed to take several minutes before the next customer could be helped. After waiting in line for about 35 minutes, it was finally our turn. We wanted to order a Chinese Chicken Burger and a Pork Burger for takeout. The employee wrote on a note that the wait would be another 25 minutes. What confused us was that we had seen other takeout customers receive their food after waiting only around 5–10 minutes. When we politely asked why our order would take 25 minutes, the employee simply replied, “then cancel.” We asked again for clarification and received the same response, with no explanation or apology. We understand there may have been some language differences, but the employee appeared comfortable communicating in English when taking orders. The issue was not the wait itself—it was the lack of sympathetic and willing to help. The burgers may be great, but after spending 35 minutes in line and then being told to wait another 25 minutes without any explanation, we decided to leave. I won't recommend this store to anyone.

Would come back, was good fast food spot. Has a more whimsical feeling to the exterior and interior that ia becoming more rare it feels like. Came across the place when going to the tower when they were opening on a weekday, only small line of 5 people. Got the no. 1 set plus lucky cheeseburger. The chicken burger was delicious, its like a handheld version of sesame chicken. On the lighter side and a little hard to eat since not a patty. The cheeseburger is really saucy, which I liked. it reminds me a little of the classic dollar menu cheeseburgers. The fries were delicious, crispy outside and fluffy inside, topped with sauce in a cup. The oolong tea didnt stand out, other than it had too much ice for me.

I dropped by on a Thursday late afternoon, and was rewarded with a 3 customer line. Since I read a lot of wildly different opinions about their #1 burger, the Chinese Chicken burger, and I'm not a huge fan of that flavor, I decided to get their #2 most popular burger, the Lucky Egg burger. They give you one of those stands with your order # in it, but something new was they gave me a little slip of paper with the order # filled in but table number blank, and asked me to find a table, write the # on the slip, and return it to an order basket near the counter. Anyway, the burger was served promptly; I'd barely gotten settled at my table. I saw other dishes to include non-burger dishes come out equally fast. I'm glad I didn't order any sides, this thing was sizeable by Japanese standards. See the photo with a ¥500 coin for comparison. It was...okay. Not amazing, not terrible, just solidly in the average "Yup that's a burger" category. Which is okay, really, but as others have written, perhaps the place is a bit overhyped. However, the atmosphere was interesting with lots of artwork, the staff was all polite and friendly even though my Japanese is pretty pathetic, and the customers seemed to be enjoying themselves. So I recommend it if: - there's no long line or you have lots of time - you're not a burger snob and average food won't disappoint you - you're pretty hungry - you'd like to eat in a non-corporately decorated establishment
