Classy old tea shop with a little east and a little west. The furniture was classical european. It felt like stepping back in time. The ambiance was quiet and made you want to sit and relax a while. I had an iced coffee in a stunning class with coffee ice cubes. Beautiful presentation.
View on GoogleBeautiful and elegant place to enjoy sweets and tea. I enjoyed the high quality matcha set with custard pudding. I got to choose my matcha cup from a shelf with a huge variety of lovely cups. Fantastic place to relax away from the crowd.
View on GoogleThis charming place, with its traditional Japanese exterior and Victorian interior, offers a delightful dessert experience. They have a wide selection of treats, including matcha, coffee, fruits bowls, sherbet, and the popular oshiruko. Sherbet is handmade which should be deliciousz From the moment you step in, you’re greeted by friendly and welcoming service, complete with hot drinks and a cozy towel. The fruit bowls are presented beautifully, drizzled with syrup and garnished with jelly and mochi, adding a burst of flavor to the fresh fruits. The oshiruko is a standout, available hot or cold. It’s sweet and has a delightful texture, with the mochi being particularly delicious. This is a truly well-made oshiruko. The coffee is black, but they offer creamer for those who prefer a milder brew. It’s a strong, flavorful Japanese coffee that complements the desserts perfectly. Overall, this place exudes charm and offers a wonderful atmosphere for enjoying desserts. It’s definitely a place worth visiting.
View on GoogleThe owners were extremely welcoming and gave us top service at all times. The matcha and the coffee were great, the desserts were delicate and delicious and the atmosphere was cozy and beautiful. The price was reasonable too. Stop by if you are nearby.
View on GoogleGreat teahouse in the marina neighbourhood of Hakodate. Been here twice, each visit being a few months apart, and each time was just as good. Not too busy on the late weekday afternoon I visited last. Beautiful, rustic interior. The tables for two are best for solo visitors, if available. Service is warm and cordial, and English communication will be attempted if necessary, which is appreciated. I had the cold matcha set with a nerikiri and lemon sherbet, all of which were cleanly-presented and tasted great. You'll be asked to choose from a cabinet shelf of bowls which one you'd like your matcha served in. The menu has various other interesting sets to try out.
