The shop is operated by a pair of elderly couple. I passed by accidentally yesterday after breakfast and was surprised by the good English of the shop owner. So I returned today for breakfast and ordered a combination of scallop, shrimp, crab meat and urchin. Best part of this shop over the others is you can select 3 types of seafood from the list. The seafood is so fresh, particularly the shrimp is the best I had in past 5 days here. And the shop owner offered complimentary free squid and radish pickles which were homemade by his wife and tasted so good. He also gave me a discount and I just paid 3500 yen for such a good meal. I have tried another seafood don before which costs me more than double. Highly recommended.
View on GooglePlease come here instead of the main shops on the main road!! The old couple that run the shop are so sweet and the kaisendon and fried chicken (zangi) is fire!! Plus it's cheaper compared to the other restaurants. You can choose your own seafood to top your bowl or just pick from the photos on the wall. Our 3-topping bowls were only 1800 yen. You also get hot tea and miso soup with your meal.We even got complimentary fermented squid.
View on GoogleWalked just a bit further from the morning market and what a rare find! They have scallops, salmon, sea urchin and shrimp don and are very affordable compared to the ones at the market. Food was served cute and lovely old couple and they are very friendly! Atmosphere was peaceful and I love that the seafood is so fresh. They have lunch set that starts from 11am too. 100% recommend!
View on GoogleThe old couple who rans this store are super nice and they tried to speak English. There is also enough English and photos to get through ordering. The sweet vinegar chicken is to die for, so delicious! The seafood donburis is fresha and the miso soup even has 3 mussels in them!
View on GoogleDefinitely a little gem!! The food was of perfect quality! He even gave me a little bow to try squid as I wasn’t ready to try a bowl of it. He helped me pick the meal. The older couple, make you feel so welcome too!!!
