The worst place ever in our entire trip in Japan! The man kept forcing you to order more, charged much higher price of my foreign friends who didn't read Japanese!

View on GoogleVisited on our honeymoon. We were stuffed so we couldn't eat much, but it was incredibly delicious. The shochu from Kyushu (Tonari no Okusan) was really good. It's a little embarrassing to say the name, though. The regulars who were there were really nice to us too, and we ended up going together to the next place… lol We'll come again, so please take care of us then 🙇
View on GoogleWant to drink! Want to chat! Then this is the place! I first visited on a friend's recommendation. The specialty here is the master, but the secret specialty is that you can try "Bekihai," a traditional ozashiki drinking game from Kochi Prefecture. Just ask the master and you can play. ※Please check YouTube for how to play. Bekihai is played together with other customers. You can get friendly even with strangers, so I find it really fun and I'm hooked (I've already been 3–4 times lol) Bekihai uses sake, so if you love drinking or games, definitely give it a try 👺 The master's talk is funny, and it feels more about chatting and laughing than eating. I guess the main dish is oysters? The oysters are really delicious, but I like the dashimaki tamago and the tsubu. Every dish is good, so try whatever catches your interest! ※It's fun even without Bekihai I think regulars and tourists alike can enjoy it without any barriers, so I recommend it as a second stop or so!
View on GoogleWe went in as a party of 2 and ordered 2 drinks, 2 oysters, and dashimaki tamago. The bill was 5,000 yen. Huh? Isn't that way too expensive? The drinks, otoshi, and oysters came right away, but the dashimaki tamago took a good 30 minutes, so slow it surprised me. Sorry to say, but the dashimaki tamago was salty… The oysters were shriveled and small too. (see photo) I guess it's a place for enjoying conversation with cigarettes and drinks; the reviews said the food was good, but I regret going there looking forward to the food. Also, the otoshi of flaked mackerel and konnyaku cost 700 yen, which made me think I'd picked the wrong place. Because the izakaya I went to after this one served 2 otoshi dishes, pickles, and complimentary arajiru, and didn't charge even 1 yen for the otoshi.
