We walked into this cluster of restaurants looking for a late night meal around 10:30 pm after just arriving in Hakodate. Most places were closed, and those that were open had no vegetarian/vegan food for me. On seeing this Korean place, I asked them if they had anything vegetarian and they accommodated us with a simple but amazingly tasty bibimbap (vegetarian) in a hot bowl. A plus was the little bits of conversation we were able to have with the owner who is Korean but was born in Japan, who also spoke a bit of English. Cute small place with the nicest staff, and open till late

Came here initially because I saw in another review that they were willing to accommodate vegetarians, and then went back twice more because it was so good and the staff were so kind! I was thrilled to get all my Korean veg favorites--dolsot bibimbap, tteokbokki, japchae. Everything I tried was amazing; the chef doesn't miss! Not to mention the kimchi grilled cheese late on my final night in Hakodate, which was the perfect antidote to the volume of whiskey I'd consumed 😂 Huge thanks to the chef and to Mayu, who made me feel so welcome. Loved hanging out at this spot!!

The owner probably doesn't want any more foreign customers. As we were approaching we saw him greet every passerby, trying to bring some customers to his empty store. As soon as we stood in front of his door, he shut the door to our faces and he waited until we were out of his sight to open the door again. We never got to find out whether the food was good (as we read in the reviews) but the attitude was appalling.

The owner is a Zainichi Korean and communicated with me in Korean, so even though I came alone I didn't feel lonely at all! It's nice that they recommended menu items too. Delicious and a fun atmosphere. A site of Korea-Japan communication Cards are accepted from 5000 yen, so keep that in mind before you go!!

Kinga, which I found on my first trip to Hakodate. I love talking with the owner, who is chatty and knowledgeable and knows about everything from idols to current events and history, so I drop by every time I go to Hakodate. Since the owner is from Korea, when you step inside you see all sorts of Korea-related things. Of course, the Korean food and drinks are plentiful and delicious. There's only counter seating close to your neighbors, so conversations with the people next to you easily get lively. Also, chatting with the dopey-ish female staff member who backs up the owner is fun and makes the place more enjoyable.
