I love the vibe here. The historic buildings along the waterfront give the area a lot of character, and there’s a nice mix of shops, cafes, and restaurants to explore. It’s a great place for a leisurely stroll, especially with the beautiful harbor views and relaxed atmosphere. That said, many of the shops seem geared toward tourists and souvenir hunters rather than locals. I enjoyed browsing, but I think the area would be even better with a wider variety of unique local businesses and everyday shops. The atmosphere alone, however, makes it well worth a visit.

Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse was easily one of my favourite places to visit in Hakodate. The entire area has such a charming and nostalgic atmosphere, especially with the historic red brick buildings lining the waterfront. It’s the perfect place to take a relaxing walk, explore the shops, and enjoy the scenery around the bay. There was a great variety of stores throughout the warehouse complex, including souvenir shops, local craft boutiques, snack stores, and fashion shops. I really liked how each section had something different to offer, making it easy to spend a few hours just browsing around and taking everything in. The waterfront atmosphere made the experience even better, especially during the evening when the lights reflected off the water. I honestly kept thinking how magical the area would look if it was snowing at the time. It already felt beautiful and cozy, but snowfall would make the whole place feel even more cinematic. Overall, Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse is definitely a must-visit spot in Hakodate for shopping, food, sightseeing, and simply enjoying the atmosphere of the city :)

This is a very commercialized area. The small shops attract a lot of tourists, but it's not as busy as I expected. The drugstore is great — I found a really good hand cream and the prices were reasonable. Staff were helpful too. Convenient stop if you're in the area.

It’s a great place for a stroll and taking photos, with many beautiful spots perfect for pictures. Outside by the seaside, there’s a cool and refreshing breeze. On clear days, you can enjoy stunning views of the sea and mountains. There are also many nice shops selling accessories and souvenirs, as well as some great dessert shops.

It's a not very crowded, but not isolated too. Place is clean and ideal for tourist who like to buy small gifts back home. There's a few buildings, not too big, just nice for a leisure walk and shop itinerary. May take an hour or few hours depending on individual interests.
