The sky was cloudy, but I could see the Tsugaru Peninsula beyond the clear Tsugaru Strait. True to its name, the strait observation deck is a spectacular viewpoint where you can see as far as Aomori. Mount Esan spreads out on the landward side, and the vast scenery on the strait side moved me.

On clear days, this is a spectacular viewpoint where you can see across the Tsugaru Strait as far as Aomori. By looking at the sea after viewing Esan, you can appreciate the vastness of both land and sea. ✔November 2025
