I happened to stay nearby so I was there at 10 am and there’s already a queue. The owner let us in early at 10.45 because it started to rain and its freezing outside. With such long line, they are trying to just keep up. The couple seems to be handling everything including shopping for ingredient themselves as they passed plenty of times when we queue. Every person ordered the salt ramen and I added gyoza. Service is pretty quick thankfully. The gyoza is decently good and the broth is very clean and simple. It is a refreshing change from the ramen that I have eaten this trip. I can see myself having this often day to day basis because it is a good bowl of local flavor but as a tourist with a short stay I wouldn’t prioritize dining in here. This place is rated very highly by the local and on tabelog apparently.

Excellent shio ramen and well deserving of its ranking on Tabelog. It’s not fancy; you won’t find a range of flavors or even toppings in this ramen, but the broth is simple yet complex enough to make you finish the entire bowl. Locals appear to like this ramen. Like others have said it’s a small space with 4 seats at the counter and 3 tables for 4. Pro tips: - Get here by 10:30 to guarantee first seating by the time they open - Fried rice and gyoza are excellent side dishes to accompany the ramen - No need to get fancy, the 650 yen shio ramen is amazing without the wontons. - Cash only

Nice mom and pop shop that serves shio ramen. Literally mom and dad hustle to get through the long line of customers that wait outside. This particular day it looked like the son was helping as well but they just couldn't keep up with the demand and the fame this shop has generated over the years. Nearly every person ordered the salt ramen and it's a steal at 600¥. It's a pretty simple bowl with a pretty clean broth, a couple of slices of chashu, menma, and a bit of green onion. Simplicity is key here and what really makes this bowl worth the wait. An hour plus wait worth it eh... Twenty/thirty minutes? Sure. The fried rice was surprisingly good as well. Overall, a good bowl of local flavor, but I can't say it made it into my top tier lists of ramen for this trip.

Best shio ramen I’ve ever had. And it’s so cheap, 660yen. I had to wait 1 hour 30 minutes for a bowl of ramen. I do not regret it. It’s run by an elderly couple, working so hard. I wish they hire one more staff to reduce their workloads as I do not mind paying 1000yen.

We had to wait an hour to get into the restaurant, but since we were informed in advance, it was acceptable. The basic ramen is very light and clean in flavor—if you enjoy that kind of taste, this is the place for you!
