Among all the Hasesto stores, this is the best location. Two eat-in areas, a processing area for deli foods and bread, convenience store functions, an original brand, and above all, it's a store packed with GLAY information. At such a large store, by eating the yakitori bento while it was still warm, I was able to taste its true deliciousness. Why not try a yakitori bento in this kind of setting! As the soul food of Hakodate's residents!

Today again, before I know it, I'm gripping the steering wheel and stepping on the gas toward Hakodate. 430 km from Asahikawa—a grueling journey that takes roughly over 6 hours. On Honshu, the mainland, that distance and time would easily span 3 or 4 prefectures. Even so, there's a place I simply must go. Roughly every six months, there's something that gives me withdrawal symptoms so bad I can't stop shaking. That's the hamburgers from "Lucky Pierrot" and the "yakitori bento" from "Hasesto." These days, if you order online, it arrives the next day without you even leaving the house. Even so, these "two titans" of Hakodate just can't be obtained. Not in Sapporo, and certainly not even close in Asahikawa—it's a "first-class drug" you can only taste locally in Hakodate. A spacious store. In the center there's a large grilling station, and thick white smoke rises from the hands of the staff turning skewers in front of the grill. I fill out the order sheet and wait about 10 minutes. I reverently receive the bento box, giving off a savory aroma. The store also offers many other deli dishes and freshly baked bread. My hand reaches for this and that. There are many of these frightening stores throughout Hakodate where you can get all this 24 hours a day. When it comes to convenience stores in Hokkaido, it's of course "Secoma." "Hasesto" seems to have the momentum to even surpass the number of Secoma stores. I enjoyed a delicious bento at my home in Asahikawa. I'll come again for more in another six months.

Onigiri handmade in store, deli dishes, bread… I think it's better than Seicomart😘

A local convenience store in Hakodate! "Hasegawa Store," famous for the yakitori bento that's Hakodate's soul food—at this location it's cooked in-store, and you can enjoy it freshly made in the eat-in space. With a bakery attached, deli dishes cooked in-store, and Secoma daily goods, it's a fun store. Parking is available in front of the store.

Early December 2025, weekday 12:30 Right after you enter, on the right side, is the bento ordering & cooking area. I filled out a form and ordered the limited-time yakitori bento (wasabi rice). While waiting, I bought drinks and such. When called, I picked up the bento and went to the register to pay. If you're eating in-store, let them know before paying. The eat-in space has 4 tables. There's also a 6-seater, and it's spacious. It's at the edge of the store, hidden by walls and merchandise, so I could eat at a relaxed pace. It was lunchtime, but there was only one other group, so it was empty.
