Hakodate Motomachi Coffee is a small, well-designed take-out coffee stand located in the Motomachi area, housed in a minimalist wooden building that fits naturally into the historic neighborhood. The concept focuses on house-roasted coffee, quick service, and high quality — ideal for a short stop during a walk. The menu includes espresso-based drinks, hot and cold coffee, Hokkaido milk options, as well as coffee soft-serve and seasonal items. A distinctive feature is the ability to choose the bitterness level of the espresso (such as bitter or crema), which is not always offered at take-out stands. We stopped here for espresso, which was genuinely very good — well balanced, aromatic, and prepared quickly and efficiently. The whole experience was smooth and convenient, making it an excellent place to grab quality coffee without breaking the rhythm of sightseeing.

I'm glad we decided to take a break here. The iced coffee was exactly how I like it, bold and pleasantly bitter. The pumpkin cake completely stole the show, though. It was creamy, flavorful, and not too sweet. A great little café to relax for a while out of the summer sun.

Quiet and warm space. The coffee shop also offers Extra Dark Roast which is unique. The photographer is not allowed inside of the shop.

A quiet and cozy cafe. You can choose the gram of coffee and water to decide the intensity of the coffee. The cheese cake was good too. A nice place to chill. Unlike some mentioned, the service is not bad even I am a foreigner. The cafe has upfront put up small notice to invite customer avoid the staff and other customers when taking photo, which I think it's reasonable.

The atmosphere was so nice, I particularly felt that the lighting created a comfortable atmosphere. I ordered pumpkin cake and a cup of coffee. It was interesting to be able to choose the amount of coffee beans.
