Visited this ramen resto near our hotel for dinner after watching the fireworks at the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse. . I ordered Salt Ramen in Light Chicken Bone Broth (JPY1100). It featured a strikingly clear, pale golden chicken broth paired with thin, straight noodles that carried just the right amount of light soup with every slurp. The cha shu pork added a tender, savoury bite, and the yuzu citrus peel on top provided a fresh, aromatic burst. It would have been nicer if the egg yolk had been a bit more runny. My dad ordered Savoury & Spicy Tantanmen in Rich Pork Bone Broth (JPY1100). It featured a thick, opaque pork bone broth infused with rich sesame paste and fiery chili oil. The vibrant reddish-orange soup offered a pleasant nutty sweetness and came loaded with a savoury mound of seasoned minced pork. My mom ordered Soy Sauce Ramen in Light Chicken Bone Broth (JPY1100). This featured a translucent amber broth that carried the subtle sweetness of soy sauce. My bro ordered Ultra-Rich Soy Sauce Ramen in Ultra-Rich Pork Bone Broth with Back Fat (JPY1100). It was loaded with a generous layer of melted pork back fat for maximum decadence. The intense creaminess was deeply seasoned with dark soy sauce, creating a bubbly, glistening soup. It was quite heavy though. My sis ordered Shrimp & Chicken Salt Wonton Ramen in Light Chicken Bone Broth (JPY1300). It featured plump, delicate shrimp and chicken wontons, and the clear soup allowed the natural flavours of the silky, smooth-skinned wontons to shine. . The resto offers both counter and booth seating, and they also have free parking spaces right outside. The staff members were nice and helpful. . Be sure to keep an eye on their Instagram page for their opening days. We had originally planned to visit on Feb 12, but it turned out they were closed that day, which they only announced on Instagram. Since we walked all the way from our hotel in the freezing cold that day, it was a bit tough—so it's definitely better to double-check ahead of time!
View on GoogleThis is one of Hakodate’s famous ramen spots. I really loved the shio ramen here. The soup was perfectly seasoned not overly salty like many other ramen places. It had a really nice aroma, the noodles were soft and delicious and the crab and shellfish toppings tasted very fresh. If you’re visiting this area, I’d definitely recommend stopping by to try it. If I ever get the chance to visit Hakodate again, I would absolutely come back and eat here again.
View on GoogleWe reached on Sunday at around 12 noon and there was a short queue (3 groups ahead of us) but more soon joined behind us. The staff did a good job in managing the line by giving us menus and taking our orders before we had our tables. They were also very efficient at clearing the tables once diners were done eating. I had the plain shio ramen while my husband and daughter had the spicy dan dan noodles. My shio ramen was cooked to perfection, with the chicken flavour really coming through the shio broth, with the yuzu bits adding some extra umami. The spicy noodles were also delicious. Definitely worth the wait and extra drive to Yunokawa.
View on GoogleSalt ramen taste good, the broth is light but it’s flavourful! 8/10 Miso ramen is too oily , I can only taste sesame in the broth.. hmm 🤔 6/10 for the oily broth.
View on GoogleHearty and tasty ramen bowls. Best so far we tried in the city. Very pleasant location overlooking the sea.
