Nice atmosphere Had vegetable curry soup.. spicy but acceptable. It's really soup And fried Pacific cod fish (half serving) so good, regret not getting full portion. Recommend this dish Order via QR code I see quite a few ordered the fried potato plate (potato wedges)
View on GoogleThere was something astonishing about this place: the beer cost as much as an excellent curry dish!! We also ate waffles for dessert and it was amazingly good. The beer was good too, of course, but in comparison to the other prices I felt a mismatch.
View on GoogleFood was good. We had: 1. Grilled squid - nice char and well cooked 2. Prosciutto wrapped asparagus - the asparagus was fresh and tasty 3. Baked potato, cheese, bacon and corn - so tasty The Hakodate red ale was really good and refreshing.
View on GoogleHakodate Beer Hall is located in a beautifully preserved red-brick warehouse in Hakodate’s historic port area. The interior keeps its original industrial character, with exposed brick walls, metal beams and a lively beer-hall atmosphere. We arrived around 5:00 pm and were lucky to find plenty of free tables without waiting. By around 6:00 pm, the place became noticeably crowded, which speaks to its popularity in the evening. The beer is genuinely excellent, and it’s well worth trying more than one style. What truly surprised us, however, was the quality of the food, which goes far beyond typical “beer hall snacks.” A seasonal dish of cod placed on tofu and finished with extremely hot shrimp broth, served bubbling in a stone pot, was outstanding — so good that we ended up ordering two portions. We also had a herring salad and sliced octopus head served with tomatoes, both of which were absolutely delicious. Many people come here thinking it’s just a place for a couple of beers, but the fact that such carefully prepared and memorable food is served alongside the beer is quite rare. A vibrant, welcoming spot that rewards staying longer and ordering more than you might initially plan.
View on GoogleWent here for a late lunch with my wife and loved the cosy Japanese beer hall experience. Top quality menu options, delicious beer and welcoming service (good English spoken by the friendly Nepali waiter). If you get there early, there are tables by the window with good street views.
