The かつ丼 is delicious and thoroughly soaked in sauce, so much that I want to recommend this place as THE place for かつ丼!! The slightly sweet, strong flavor keeps you eating rice. You can order a かつ丼 and small soba set for 1100円, and I think it's the most popular choice. The small soba portion isn't small at all, so light eaters should be careful haha The かつ丼 is packed with rice too, so you'll definitely leave full! It gets packed at lunchtime, so you may have to share a table. Turnover is quick, and seats open up after a short wait. The curry is good too.

The only good thing here is the price. The claim that their カツ丼 is the best in Hakodate is a fantasy. I think they're just continuing to coast on how good the previous owner's カツ丼 was. The cold soba is poorly drained and soggy too. They're just going through the motions and doing a slapdash job. And above all, the service is awful. They stay seated chatting when customers come in, or fool around with regulars. Unbelievable. At least learn to say welcome and thank you.
