I had a great time here. This place is ran by a Burmese guy. He serves a menu of Japanese/Indo/Burmese plates. They have a selection of southeast asian beers and also have local Hakodate sake. Colorful staff and customers. You can meet locals and fellow travelers.
View on GoogleI had a very enjoyable night. When I ate the fried tofu, I felt like I was back home. The owner was also very kind💖
View on GoogleThis is the kind of food-stall village you often see in Hokkaido. There were various types of shops. This time I went into a Myanmar restaurant. It's full with just 6 people, so you naturally end up chatting with the person next to you. It's a place where all the customers feel like acquaintances. That's the kind of fun food-stall villages offer.
View on GoogleHonestly, it's true that multinational Asian food at Daimon Yokocho isn't all that appealing. Especially in Hakodate, where there's so much good food... But the food was better than expected, and above all, the atmosphere is great... The owner is super cheerful, and it's a vibe where people as diverse as the multinational food mingle together, drinking and chatting. It's a place where even loners are forced to become social butterflies. It was my first night in Hakodate and I had an unforgettable experience. It was so much fun.

The owner is from Myanmar, and the dishes are authentic flavors adapted to suit Japanese tastes, and they're delicious. ③ Recommended dish Myanmar beer. It's best enjoyed with the zangi from their sister shop. ④ Access 4-5 minutes' walk from JR Hakodate Station. It's inside Hakodate Hikari no Yatai Daimon Yokocho. ⑤ Other A shop with a nice food-stall atmosphere. It has a homey feel where you can naturally chat with the staff, regulars, and tourists. The owner is very friendly and funny. You can also enjoy Myanmar beer, which is hard to find in Japan, so I recommend it.
