Had the best omakase in recent memory here! This was a family run restaurant serving authentic delicious and fresh sushi at an affordable price. They even gave us free prawns at the end of the meal. Highly recommended!

The uni chirashi was one of the most satisfying and umami-rich meals I had on this trip, made with fresh uni (not saltwater uni). My husband had the 12-piece omakase sushi and thoroughly enjoyed it. The ingredients were incredibly fresh and high quality. My son ordered a kids' meal that included natto sushi and ikura don. The ikura was unlike any I’ve had before, it was exceptionally fresh, with no detectable fishiness. We visited at an odd hour (3pm on a Wednesday), so we were the only customers. The family running the shop was warm and kind. Highly recommended!

We came here after driving to Shakotan coast on our way back down to Lake Toya. I was told this is the uni coast :) We enjoyed fresh uni don here and other sashimi options. Uni was soooo tasty at a fraction of the price elsewhere! We paid around ¥8,000 for the meal. I booked in advance although we arrived early around 5pm and there were plenty of seats . They have parking for a few cars next to the restaurant and in front

Sashimi was really fresh. We ordered the big donburi set which included 3 different types of shrimps and many other fishes (swordfish, abalone, ikura roe, etc) and all were great. If I were to pick my top 3 favourite items, it would be the ikura roe, swordfish and shrimps. We also ordered the tamago in the end as we saw someone delivering the raw eggs to the restaurant and it looked really big. It was really juicy and fluffy at the same time, even better than those you would get from specialty store in Tsukiji market, etc. It is definitely worth the trip if you are around the area, this is Japanese hospitality and food quality at its best. The owner of the place also just turned 84 years old yesterday so happy birthday to him!

I enjoyed more than 14 kinds of seafood—the variety was amazing. Every piece of fish was fresh. The ikura roe wasn’t salty and was even crispy. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was from the first bite. I’m not usually a fan of shellfish, but all the shellfish in this rice bowl was tender and fresh. This dining experience really made me start to love them. Don’t hesitate to come if you’re looking for a great seafood spot! THIS IS THE PLACE!
