Teppan Okonomiyaki Masaya
Our shop is enjoyed not only by Japanese guests but by people from all over the world. Our hallmark is original creative dishes, starting with the "Furano Omu-Curry, a new local gourmet dish" cooked on the teppan at the counter using Furano and Hokkaido ingredients, along with cooking performances that can be seen from every seat. During the busy summer season, from July to the end of September, reservations are not available.

We went to this restaurant for dinner and had such an amazing experience. We ordered the pork ribs with Furano dama, garlic fried rice, and hotate with butter and honestly, every dish was incredible. After trying the food, it’s easy to understand why this place has so many great reviews. Everything was flavorful, perfectly balanced, and not overly salty like many places tend to be. Beyond the food, the hospitality made the experience even more special. The staff and chef were incredibly warm and welcoming, often coming over to talk with us as tourists and giving thoughtful recommendations for what to try next. If you’re reading the reviews and wondering whether this restaurant is worth visiting, this is your sign to go. You’ll not only get delicious food, but also one of the warmest dining experiences in Furano. Truly one of the best meals we’ve had here.
View on GoogleWe chanced upon this restaurant after the first one we planned to try allowed smoking inside. Best unexpected turn of the night. The staff welcomed us warmly and asked if we wanted seats by the teppan. Of course we said YES. Watching Chef Masaya and Chef Shoki work while sharing their stories made the experience even more memorable. Every dish was masterfully prepared, but our favorites were definitely the unique Furano Dama Okonomiyaki and the Pork Rib… sooo good. Even the garlic fried rice was full of surprises, generously packed with pork belly strips. We paired everything with hot sake, perfectly warmed and comforting in Furano’s chilly weather. Oh, how I wish Furano was just a plane ride away.
View on GoogleGreat local restaurant. Extensive menu. Portions are not big, so easy to order a few to share. Everything was tasty. We ordered a plain okonomiyaki, Furano omelette curry rice, lamb fried noodle, Hokkaido buttered corn.
View on GoogleWe had a very good experience here for our lunch. It was close to 2pm and we were lucky to found this shop is still accepting order. The staffs can speak fluent English (a total surprise). It is a classic teppanyaki store layout with both seatings in front of the teppan (cooking area) and normal tables. We ordered 3 main dishes, and managed to finish all. Even though not in the recommended menu, Garlic Fried Rice is a must try! The rice is stirred fried enough to be dry and fragrance, mixed with meats and vegetable, served on hot plate, is easily the most comforting food after a long winter drive. The staff even offered to help us take photos, very friendly. Definitely recommend this place and will come again if I am visiting this area again.
