We loved this little local sushi spot. We booked online, where you can only have the omakase set. On arrival, we also looked at the a la carte, and as it's only in Japanese and handwritten, it's very difficult to order a la carte if you don't speak Japanese, so the omakase is definitely the best option. We were given an incredible miso soup with prawn heads in it, plus some lovely sugarsnap peas with garlic mayo, then 10 pieces of nigiri sushi. The chef prepared these in front of us, giving us two pieces at a time. The selection included chutoro tuna, scallop, aji, mackerel, horse mackerel, mantis shrimp, Botan shrimp, ikura roe and uni. All were brushed with sweet teriyaki, and ample wasabi. It was so fresh and absolutely delicious. It's true that the service is slow – we were there a good couple of hours – but it's just one couple working there, and they were lovely, and the atmosphere was pleasant. It feels like a real local gem, so don't hesitate to go while you're in Furano.

Visited back in October. Easily the best sushi I have ever eaten. We were fortunate to be able to dine in without making any reservation. The chef and his wife are really friendly and took time to explain to us the different kind of sushi that were prepared for us. Do be patient for the food to be served as the chef has to prepare all the food by himself but good food is always worth the wait.

This was the worst sushi restaurant I have ever visited in Furano. Although they mention that service may be slow because there is only one chef, the wait time is well over an hour — just as many other reviewers have mentioned. I have dined at excellent sushi restaurants in Tokyo and elsewhere, and I have never experienced such excessive waiting anywhere. Even after waiting more than an hour, the sushi I received was the worst of my life. The amount of rice, the seasoning, and the fish were completely unbalanced and did not complement each other at all. On top of that, the same soy sauce was brushed onto every single piece of sushi, and it was difficult to understand the intention behind this choice. What was even more concerning was that they did not ask about any food allergies before serving the meal. The sushi here is so poor that you might feel you could make better sushi yourself. It is absurdly overpriced, and it honestly feels as though the chef and his wife are taking advantage of foreign and out-of-town visitors in Furano, where sushi restaurant options are limited. This was truly the worst dining experience I have had.

Celebrated my partner's birthday there and made our reservations via JPNEAZY and paid JPY 1600 Yen just for the reservation. We did that because it was a Tuesday and most restraunts closes on Tuesday. Also when booking via this app, the only option you have is to select the omakase meal. If it is entirely up to me, i will definitely go for their ala carte menu. Their uni sushi and gs grilled cod fish was delicious. Omakase is 11,000 yen per person and personally i dont think it is worth the value. Started off with a simple ABC soup, then a plate of ordinary selection of sashimi, honestly i was so underwhelmed when i saw the sashimi. Next came the grilled cod fish, ok that was delicious, put a smile back on my face. After that was a piece of oyster, it was fresh. Then came a delicacy, cod fish sperm sac and finally a plate of sushi, the uni was the best, the rest of the sushi were ordinary selection like chutoro instead of otoro. We picked a bottle of limited brewery sake, cost 9000 yen, it was decent. Overall i will revisit but definitely opt for ala carte.
