Well presented very local restaurant with traditional style sitting tables. Service is decent. Katsudon set is great value and very tasty. The shop is famous for their soba but not their stand out dish.

Great place with soba noodles and tempura.

We were given the most generous serving of sake for 300 yen per glass - it was incredible. The drinks also came with some bar food - pickled bamboo shoots and prawn crackers (for the kirin beer we also ordered). We ordered regular ebi soba, jumbo ebi soba and special ebi don. The ebi don was quite well done and came with 3 prawns tempura. But the regular ebi soba was quite sad with one little prawn in a bowl of soba - and which got way too soggy and lost flavor. (Thank goodness we ordered more prawn tempuras on the side). The jumbo ebi soba order arrived as jumbo ebi udon. 😑 i guess the language difference did not help. As we were all starving, we did not return the udon for soba - which in retrospect was a bad idea because the udon turned out rather soft (overcooked?). Still, it was a decent meal at a good value - the entire meal with drinks + side orders for 3pax only cost us 5k yen.

Had a very pleasant dining experience in this soba restaurant. Not only are the staff friendly, the soba we ordered were very delicious!
