Kumagera was exactly what our family was hoping to find. We somehow snagged a table for five without a reservation and were so glad we did. With everyone wanting something different, the menu offered plenty of choices, making it easy to keep everyone happy. We ordered a variety of dishes, including Wagyu sukiyaki, Wagyu steak (melt-in-your-mouth delicious), perfectly seared Wagyu sashimi, ginger soy pork, and pork katsu. Each dish had its own appeal, and it was fun sharing plates and sampling a little of everything. The atmosphere encouraged us to slow down and enjoy the evening. Good food, good company, and not a single complaint from anyone at the table—a rare accomplishment when dining with five people. We’d happily return the next time we’re in Furano.

was a really great find thanks to tiktok but lived up to the quality and authenticity prided upon. for four of us, we ordered the seafood nabe hotpot for 2, sukiyaki wagyu and salmon roe rice. portion was just nice. hotpot soup was thoroughly flavourful although we wished we added on a couple more clams / oysters. sukiyaki came with instructions to pair, truly a must have dining experience in furano

Highly recommended for a meal here if you are in Furano. Everything was good. The waitresses are all conversant in English hence no issues in communication. Menu was easy to understand. Had some issues while ordering our sake but the waitress l's recommendation was perfect. Sweet sake was what we were looking for tonight. Orders that were delicious included the curry pork tonkatsu rice, wagyu beef soup, wagyu rice bowl and the beef and venison sukiyaki. We tried the cheese hokkaido beancurd as well which came first. It is a cold appetizer which was alright. I liked the environment. We sat upstairs in a room. No hassle of taking off our sbow boots hence lessening the stress. Waitress was also kind enough to assist us in calling a cab back to the hotel.

Came for the roasted bear meat, the main highlight of my dinner. It was as i expected the meat. Love it! Venison was very soft and tender. The pork tenderloin also very good. The rest of the sides was also very good. Very stict policy on alcohol and driving. Asked if my wife is driving when she order alcohol. Thumbsup. I paid using cash. They accept physical credit card as well. I have wise apple pay which was not accepted. All good. I forgotten my beanie inside when i reach the car. However the waitress run to the parking area and handed over to me! In the cold winter weather. Cant thank her enough.
