The portions are on the small side, so I guess it's good for light eaters. Lots of customers were ordering large portions. I'm glad it's cash only. The noodles were the slippery kind that's not my preference, but I think the soup is good. It's a bit pricey, but it seems to be a popular place. Next time I get a chance to come to Fukagawa, I wanna try the curry menu.
View on GoogleI had the chashu curry. I knew it was a ramen shop, but the curry looked so good I ended up ordering it (lol). Plenty of roux, mild spiciness, a gentle flavor. It was delicious.
View on GoogleThe food was generally decent and tasty. However, there were a few things that bothered me. A female employee was scolding a staff member so loudly that it could be heard at the customer seats, and it wasn't an atmosphere where you could enjoy your meal calmly. Also, we came as two people, but the second person's ramen was served only when the first had almost finished eating. If possible, I'd appreciate it if they served them at a time when we could eat together. Since the taste wasn't bad, I hope the service and serving timing will improve.
View on GoogleI had the salmon-bushi shoyu ramen. It does have a salmon flavor, but that's all, and I didn't sense any depth or complexity. It's light-tasting, but it just felt thin. Nothing worth noting about the noodles, and the toppings were really ordinary... well, actually, the green onions were cut quite unevenly. The sizes were all over the place, making the texture messy. Paying 1,200円 for this... that's my honest impression. The parking lot is reasonably big, and if it's full there's a roadside station (michi-no-eki) across the street. The location isn't bad for a stop on a drive. For a ramen shop, it takes a while from ordering to serving.
View on GoogleOn the way to Asahikawa, we went into the Fukagawa branch of "Ramen Ichizo", a famous shop in Asahikawa Ordered the shio butter ramen The butter was smaller than I expected... I couldn't taste the butter I wish they'd make it a bit bigger Since there were two of us, one plate of gyoza with 6 pieces meant no fighting over them, which was nice They were crispy and delicious
