The atmosphere has changed considerably since it was operating, but even so, I'd like the building to be preserved.

The former Takadomari Station is located a little way off National Route 275. There is also a JR Bus stop on the nearby national road, so access is relatively straightforward. On visiting, the station building appeared to be used as a warehouse, and the roof looked as though it had been repaired. Concrete remains at the end of the platform, giving a sense of the former station. However, I couldn't find any traces of the tracks. This abandoned station quietly survives in a peaceful location, making it a suitable spot to reflect on the history of the former Shinmei Line. I think it's a simple former station that's easy to stop at while exploring railway relics.
