Visited in February 2023. The building is set back from the road, making it easy to miss while driving and hard to find. It used to be a sushi restaurant. Now it's an izakaya. I'd heard they closed the sushi restaurant for various reasons, but apparently it was rebuilt 4 years ago. Street View may show the old exterior until it's updated. The owner still works in the kitchen at the new restaurant, which is family-run. I'd enjoyed 「海鮮ちらし」 several times in its sushi-restaurant days, so I returned, but the lunch menu now offers 「海鮮丼」 rather than 「ちらし」. The quality is good and it's delicious, but I compare it with the old restaurant's 「ちらし」, hence ３ stars. They apparently still serve sushi, but strictly by reservation. I thought it was probably related to vinegared rice or sourcing ingredients. There are semi-private rooms and counter seats.

The interior was new and clean. There were small partitioned rooms like at つぼ八 and いろはにほへと, so we felt comfortable using it even during COVID. The menu was extensive, and although we had a toddler with us, we enjoyed ordering various dishes. The izakayas in 枝幸町 are quite impressive.

A restaurant I always rely on. My lunch recommendation is katsu ramen🍜—any of the ramen varieties topped with katsu. This time I had miso katsu😋 The thick katsu really fills you up❗️ They also had fresh uni, available only this season. The uni tempura is delicious too🙌

Ordered miso ramen at 880円 with a katsu topping at 440円. (Total 1,320円) Sesame seeds float in the mellow miso broth, with a little ground meat at the bottom. The delicious broth has a slight ginger flavor, and I could drink it all. The ramen already comes with 2 slices of chashu, topped here with thick katsu. The meat has a strong presence without interfering with the broth. I'd like to try the salt ramen next time.

Reopened after renovation last year‼️ The izakaya menu has expanded. Sushi, tempura, skewers, salads, individual dishes… you can enjoy all kinds of food at reasonable prices‼️ Set meals are available at lunch too. The interior is clean and emphasizes privacy, which is great for families with children‼️ The drinks menu is extensive tooー❤️
