A Relaxing Taste of Hokkaido Just Minutes from Chitose Airport Just a 3-minute drive from the Eniwa IC (the first expressway exit from New Chitose Airport), you'll find "Rakudaken" tucked away inside the expansive Ecorin Village. If you have a rental car and want to escape the enclosed airport environment, this is a fantastic spot to immediately experience the open, refreshing Hokkaido atmosphere. There is also plenty of parking available. We were lucky enough to get a window seat. The restaurant is quite popular with families and young children, but the noise level was perfectly manageable, allowing for a relaxed conversation. The staff provided warm and welcoming service, making the overall atmosphere very cozy. (Note: The restaurant is operated by the company behind "Bikkuri Donkey," a famous family restaurant chain originating in Hokkaido). The menu mainly focuses on pizza and spaghetti. The spaghetti was rich in flavor and cooked perfectly al dente. The pizza featured a thick, chewy crust, baked in a kiln and served piping hot. Both were very satisfying. After the meal, taking a stroll around the village grounds is highly recommended. It’s a great way to digest and enjoy a refreshing change of pace before or after a flight.
View on GoogleSeated near the window. Nice view of the farm with the sheep. The interior design is European style. Restaurant staff is polite. Love the pizza, especially the crab pizza. Dough is chewy and pizza is tasty . We ordered 2 sets for 4 pax- come with 1 pizza, 1 salad, 1 spaghetti and a coffee. Not expensive. Value for money. Spaghetti is rather average .
View on GoogleIt is unfortunate that a recent review was quite negative. In my experience, the food quality and taste were excellent. The salad is fresh and the pizza and pasta we had were both delicious, and I would definitely recommend this place. The scenic farmland setting adds to the charm, and while the staff’s English may be limited, they are incredibly friendly, courteous, and helpful.
View on GoogleGreat place to eat, was pleasantly surprised by the view and service of the staff. Food was good 👍
View on GoogleThis is one of those rare restaurants I keep coming back to and this is already my seventh visit. Their bolognese and tomato pasta are consistently outstanding rich, comforting, and deeply flavourful, made even more special knowing the tomatoes come from their own tomato farm. Simple ingredients, done exceptionally well. Save room for dessert. The ice cream and cheesecake are both excellent not overly sweet, beautifully balanced, and the perfect ending to the meal. What truly sets this place apart is the setting. With both a tomato farm and a sheep farm, the atmosphere feels wholesome and authentic. I’ve visited in both summer and winter, and each season offers a completely different charm, yet the quality of food and experience remains consistently high. A place I always recommend—and clearly, one I’ll keep returning to.
