The rice is delicious but the portion is quite small
View on GoogleI visited around 13:30. Perhaps the customer flow had settled down by then; there were only a few groups, and I didn't have to wait to be seated. They currently seem to take a break from 15–17, with last orders around 14:30. Kamameshi takes about 30 minutes after ordering. The salad dressing was sesame, but rather than sweet, it had a strong garlic flavor and was delicious. The tempura was fried crisp and tasted good too. The kamameshi had plenty of ingredients and a clear flavor of dashi and its ingredients, and was delicious. This is a matter of preference, but I was disappointed that the rice was cooked too soft. Perhaps it just happened to turn out soft that time, so I'd like to visit again when I have the chance.
View on GoogleA kamameshi restaurant that's been around for over 50 years, satisfying in both flavor and portion size. There are many kinds of kamameshi, with limited-time options such as eel, beef, corn, Pacific saury, and more, so you can enjoy them without worrying about the season. Making a reservation before visiting helps you enjoy your food more smoothly. They also offer delivery and takeout. There's a fairly spacious parking lot behind the restaurant and a bus stop out front, so I think you can visit without worrying about transportation.
View on GoogleA restaurant with delicious kamameshi. Since they prepare it after receiving your order, it takes a little time(about 30 minutes), but the deliciousness is guaranteed🙆 You can enjoy a relaxed meal in a private room😊 The chicken kamameshi and tempura set 「椿」 is quite generous, isn't it? They also have good-value lunch sets on weekdays, so give them a try.
View on GoogleIt's along National Route 12. The seating inside has sunken kotatsu tables, so your legs won't go numb even in the tatami area. The luxurious lunch used to offer a choice of crab, scallops, or chicken, but crab was no longer available because its price had soared. Chestnuts joined the choices instead. I've eaten it many times, but ordered the luxurious lunch(chicken, scallops). Kansai-style oden, freshly fried tempura, freshly cooked rice—everything was delicious. Both the chicken and scallops were delicately seasoned. The kamameshi contains enough rice for 3 rice bowls. It takes time to cook, so I think it would be difficult if you're short on time. They also asked if I had a reservation when I entered, so perhaps you can't get in at certain times. The staff were brisk and provided pleasant service. Parking is behind the restaurant.
