A mochi shop I found when I turned onto the road to Sapporo Gakuin University. I bought mame daifuku and koshian daifuku. I think they were 120 yen each. The mochi was soft, and the anko and beans had a gentle sweetness. I personally found it lacking in character and a bit unsatisfying, but it's tasty.
View on GoogleThey sell mochi, but only a tiny amount. The inside looks like an antique shop, but apparently it's a warehouse.
View on GoogleI went for the first time because of the high rating. The moment I stepped inside the shop there was a smell like sweat. I thought it might be my imagination and bought several mochi anyway, but is the source of the smell the man who seems to be the owner? I figured smell can be a matter of body constitution and can't be helped, but the smell had transferred to the mochi and the packaging alike, and my car became terribly smelly and the mochi wasn't in a state I could imagine eating; only after putting the bag of mochi in three layers could I finally contain the smell. Of course I didn't eat it. When I think about why the smell would transfer that much, I couldn't bring myself to eat it. Even if it's a small shop, that smell is unacceptable for a shop that handles food. I only feel anxious about hygiene. It's a waste, but I threw it away without eating it, so I don't know the taste. I should have realized from the fact that there were no recent reviews. Wasted money and time.
View on GoogleThe mochi was soft, fluffy, and delicious! I had the kinako daifuku, goma daifuku, and dorayaki. The dorayaki was also fluffy, sweet, and smelled lovely. I'll go again!
View on GoogleThe kinako daifuku was soft and delicious. They say "mochi is best left to the mochi shop," and that seems to be true.
