【Maxi de Repas】😃 A place I stopped at for lunch after a meeting in Ebetsu😃 ■Basic info • On the 1st floor of the Ebetsu Civic Hall. • Parking: use the city hall / civic hall parking lot. • Seating: table seats. • Payment: sit down and order, pay at the register (after the meal). • Hours: 11:00–15:30, 17:00–21:00 • Closed: Sundays • Reservations available (phone, Hot Pepper) • Smoking/non-smoking: separate smoking area ■Situation at time of visit • Visit time: around 12:00 • Crowd: 4 groups already there ■What I ordered • Dish: White ankake yakisoba (1,200 yen) ■Impressions • Food: The "White ankake yakisoba" I had this time, besides its striking appearance, had a creamy, rich white sauce that coated the noodles well, and it was surprisingly delicious! Different from the usual soy-sauce-based kind, it had a gentle yet rich flavor with a hint of Western cuisine, and the umami of the ingredients came through too. Fittingly a local Ebetsu specialty, it was a highly satisfying dish that gets you hooked after one try. • Shop: It's on the 1st floor of the Ebetsu Civic Hall, and since it was lunchtime around 12:00 there were about 4 groups ahead of me, but with spacious table seating I could eat in a relaxed, calm way. The style of ordering at your seat and paying at the register afterward was smooth, and it was an open, comfortable space perfect for a lunch break after a meeting. ■Quick note: You can use the Ebetsu City Hall and civic hall parking lot as is, so it's very convenient if you come by car. Hours span lunch through dinner, closed Sundays. There's a separate smoking area, so people who care about smoking can feel at ease. Above all, the "White ankake yakisoba" is a specialty you can only taste here, so when you visit the Ebetsu area please try it once—a lovely restaurant rooted in the community. I had a satisfying lunch😃

I got to enjoy the atmosphere of a Showa-era outing (though I never experienced one). The staff's service, the vibe of the other diners, the food—I was satisfied with everything. I had a great time. I had the limited creamy yakisoba and the classic beef stew, but there were other tasty-looking dishes too, so I want to go again.

Visited on Mon 1/5 around 13:30. When I went on 12/29 they were already closed for the year-end holidays… so this was my revenge visit. But it turns out the head chef fell and broke his wrist, so with only one cook, the menu is limited for a while… Shame… I wanted the "Special Beef Stew" I'd been aiming for, but this time I had the "Beef Stew Rice (¥1,200)". Rich, and the meat falls apart. Very delicious. It's practically a drink. Served quickly too. This is basically the same as curry rice (lol)… But it really is beef stew! Different from curry. The inside is quite spacious. The floor staff are very polite too. Pleasant. The disappointing part was that the beef stew wasn't piping hot. And it's beef stew… Also, the portion is small. For ¥1,200 I guess that can't be helped… One more thing. The chatter of the middle-aged ladies who'd taken over the center of the room… was bothersome… The lovely music-box BGM… Let's eat quietly.

It's a long-established place in Ebetsu City. I used to go often, and dropped by after a long time. Today I came for early voting and thought, "Hey, there's a lunch spot inside the polling venue!" and went in. My wife ordered the beef stew rice with coffee, and I ordered the authentic Chinese ankake yakisoba! The beef stew rice has a demi-glace sauce that's been continually replenished and super tender beef! It falls apart without chewing. My wife said it would've been perfect if the stew were a bit hotter… My authentic Chinese ankake yakisoba—first bite, hm? Sweet… I immediately tuned up the flavor, dousing it with mustard and vinegar, making it a special edition! I thought the portion wasn't big, but no, it just isn't tall—I was almost fooled by how it's spread out on the plate lol It was delicious. Thank you for the meal m(_ _)m
