It is a soft cream & Italian restaurant. NOT SOBA. The large cone is filling, different types of parfait like toppings.
View on GoogleNo-nonsense soba joint in central Date. Seems to also be a local favourite. Had the octopus tempura soba, which was fantastic, with a sizeable tempura serving. The menu holds many more soba variations that I'd like to try in the future. The shopfloor has a nice, rustic aesthetic, and is divided into separate sections for tatami, standard, and counter seating, the latter of which ills suitable for solo diners. Service is cordial and attentive. Superb place for lunch.
View on GoogleThe handmade soba was thick and nice. Staff were friendly but, unfortunately, none of them can speak English when we were there and they only accept cash as payment mode. Definitely worth a visit.
View on GoogleThis is a very popular soba restaurant in Date, so it can get quite crowded. I visited alone for lunch and was seated at the counter. I ordered shrimp tempura with cold mori soba. The tempura coating was wonderfully light and crispy, and the soba was delicious. As a playful touch, the chef added a heart-shaped noodle to the plate, which made the meal even more memorable. Soba is one of Japan’s most popular traditional foods, and this restaurant is well worth visiting when you are in Date. Be prepared for a possible wait, especially during busy hours.
