This might be one of the best places in Japan for curry katsu rice. Very generous portions. The husband and wife owners are fantastic and just celebrated the 50th anniversary of opening their restaurant in 2024.

Great tasty lunch and good ambiance. Coffee is also good.

Amazing service and yummy food!

I ordered the lunch set, but it was two kinds of salad and a cup of soup on a big plate, and I thought there was too much empty space. The Napolitan is decent, and with a drink it's a good deal at 1,000 yen. But I just couldn't help being bothered by the balance of the plating… it felt like kind of a waste.

An old-fashioned manga café with a Showa feel. I completed Cooking Papa here😅 What's amazing is that it's not just a manga café—the food and drinks are very delicious. It's a proper coffee shop. Is the master a good cook? Or is there a chef in the kitchen? It's in front of the station (by the river), so if you happen to drop into Date on a whim, please stop by! My son loved the mapo eggplant rice bowl here. I think it's a rare menu item you don't often see, but it's delicious! Everyone silently reads manga while eating.
