If you have enough strength to make 600 stair steps to walk this trail, I'd absolutely advise to do so. The views from this trail is wonderful: ocean on the left, volcano on the right, majestic lake Toya in the front.

Definitely worth the walk but alot of stairs. Great view into the crater.

The stairs going towards this lookout from the ropeway can look intimidating, but for those who can manage the 600 steps, the view along the way to this lookout is amazing and it is stunning at the lookout to be able to see the ocean, Mt Yotei and the crater!

With my mom dad n aunt, we spend 2 hours for round trip from the ropeway. The view is nice but the stairs are crazy. Actually the view here is not that wow. But I like along the way view.
