とんかつ玉藤Tamafuji Chitose
15 minutes on foot from JR Chitose Station. Tamafuji, a long-established tonkatsu specialty restaurant in Sapporo founded in 1952, values the techniques and spirit of traditional craftsmen. The secret to its deliciousness is the "golden-colored katsu" itself. The secret to its deliciousness is the "golden-colored katsu" itself, carefully fried one piece at a time by craftsmen. Carefully selected pork is coated in homemade fresh breadcrumbs and fried until fragrant, making it crispy outside and tender inside. Enjoy a heartwarming dish together with freshly cooked rice.

Great katsu and pickles! Good for gathering. Big groups will have to be seated on the futon proper japanese dining. Rice and lettuce are refillable but you have to ask for it. Servers will not approach you with them. The pickles were awesome and great to start the meal with. 3 different types of rice and soup to choose from. Will definitely visit again in future.
View on GoogleA true local tonkatsu gem worth the visit. Tamafuji Chitose may look simple from the outside, but the food quality is exceptional. The Jukusei pork (aged pork) katsu is incredibly tender and juicy, with a perfectly light and crisp coating. You can really taste the depth of flavor from the aging process — easily one of the best tonkatsu I’ve had in Hokkaido. You grind the sesame yourself before mixing the sauce, which makes it wonderfully aromatic and enhances the richness of the pork. The rice is fragrant, and the free refills of cabbage pickles and sides make the meal very satisfying. The atmosphere feels authentically local with many Japanese customers, giving it a genuine neighborhood restaurant vibe. Generous portions and very reasonable prices for this level of quality. If you’re around Niseko or Chitose, it’s definitely worth stopping by.
View on GoogleThis was a chanced discovery when my family visited Chitose a year back. We leaped at the opportunity to visit this Katsu restaurant again when we entered Chitose this evening. The pork katsu with their special made sauce is just out of the world. Comes in a set with a choice of soups and rice. The home made pickled dishes were really tasty and comes free flow. The Katsu is made on the spot in your full view with fresh pork loin and bread crumbs. The texture of the katsu is soft, tender and juicy with a crispy batter of crumbs wrapping round it. The tempura prawns is crispy and succulent. Affordable family meal and highly recommended as a must visit when you in Chitose.
View on GoogleThis place is awesome! Fresh, delicious, moist fried chicken, perfectly cooked. Absolutely worth every penny and the price is very reasonable. We are fitness junkies and dont normally eat fried food but this was a totally acceptable exception for us ! The staff was friendly and spoke English to us to the best of their ability.
View on GoogleThe food here is absolutely delicious. The restaurant is conveniently located near the airport. When we visited, the wait for our food was a bit long due to a large group order, but it was understandable. I’d definitely come back again next time.
