Located inside the New Chitose Airport (lvl 4 domestic airport), this onsen isn’t just an airport facility—it’s probably one of the best options for very early birds on iron wings instead of spending the night on an airport bench wondering where life went wrong. You can soak in a genuine Japanese onsen, enjoy a proper meal, and wake up feeling like you’ve actually had a holiday. The overnight package includes access to the onsen, overnight stay in the shared relaxation areas, towels, indoor wear (yukata/lounge wear), basic toiletries (in fact its more than basic: toothbrushes w toothpowder on, hair oil, shampoo, conditioner, facial wash, skincare and everything you need and enjoy in a hotel) and use of the facilities until the following morning. It’s an incredibly convenient option if you have an early flight or a late arrival. The bathing facilities are excellent, featuring: * Indoor natural hot spring baths * Open-air (rotenburo) baths where you can unwind under the sky * A dry sauna * A steam room * Cold plunge baths for the brave souls who enjoy questioning their life choices after a hot soak (great to restart if it gets too steamy hot)🔥 Alternating between the hot baths, sauna, steam room and cold bath is surprisingly addictive—you leave feeling like you’ve pressed the factory reset button on your body. They even provide scalp brush and scrub towels to complete your cleanup routine. Relax also means doing everything sitting…from brushing your teeth, washing up, drying your hair…your feet and legs are just spared from more standing. The relaxation area is much better than I expected. There are female-only sleeping rooms for those wanting a little more privacy, as well as mixed relaxation areas with comfortable reclining chairs. (Think first class airplane seats. Some seats are equipped with power outlets, although not every chair has one, so if charging your devices is mission critical, try to grab those early. Blankets are provided and an overhead is provided to keep you from the brightness. There are also spacious lounge areas with tables where you can work, read or simply people-watch. Just note that parts of these common areas close after around 10–11 pm, leaving the designated overnight resting areas available for guests, which comes extremely quiet. Insider tips: * drop by to ask if theres availability for overnight seats. If its peak you may want to dine in as you wont be able to leave once you enter the services area. If not, you can still grab a bit outside but leave the snacks out cos they dont allow outside food. There will be vending machines however. Arrive before the late evening rush if you want first pick of the reclining seats with power sockets. *check your bags in in your own or leave it to the reception. You can still repack the next day before your flight. * Bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper—it’s a shared relaxation space after all although its relatively quiet * Have a proper soak before your flight. You’ll probably board feeling fresher than everyone else who’s been camping at the departure gate. * If you have tattoos, check the current policy before visiting, as they have restrictions, not too sure if coverings are allowed. * Japanese onsens require you to be in your birth suit so if youre uncomfortable being naked around others this could be rather awkward, there are small towels you can use outside the pools areas * cold and hot water dispenser available with hot tea as well *breakfast is onigiri 🍙 and buns with miso soup/ corn soup and hot drinks of tea / coffee so if you’re short in time you can grab and go. Clean, well-maintained , surprisingly peaceful and incredibly convenient with everything you will need apart from the outfit for your flight, this is easily one of the best airport facilities. Honestly, New Chitose Airport has set the bar dangerously high. Other airports have uncomfortable metal benches or seats… this one just shows off with a hot spring and extreme Japanese hospitality.

This place have onsen and a place to sleep, it is good if you have to stay overnight at the airport for whatever reason. They have 2 packages, one for onsen only and the others is for overnight stay plus onsen. But the rule here is strange, when you enter you can't get out, if you get out it is over, you can't get in anymore. So if you want snack or anything, you need to get it before checking in. At least they have a free drink for you there, and a cafeteria. The onsen is ok. But the seat for sleep is very hard, and free a bit dirty. They have a room for woman only. But if you are a hard to fall to sleep person or easy to wake up this might not be the best place to get sleep, the snoring form other is quite loud. In the morning they have included breakfast which is just a Onikiri and some selection of bread. If those are not the things that you concern, this place is a nice place.

Anyone with an early flight, I highly recommend it! It’s on the 4th floor of domestic section, right next to Gundam models store Highly recommended for those who have early morning flights. The fee is worth spending since you get everything you need to spend the night here. I paid ¥4,600 for spending overnight plus extra for what I had from the restaurant which I paid before I left on the checking out machine - They have 5 pools both indoor and outdoor. Dipping yourself in the outdoor ones under the cold weather is superb. - the restaurant give you very big portions and tasty - hot/cold tea and water is provided - what I love the most is separated female relaxing room with many sofas which come with personal TV, power socket, blanket and head cover
