The gyoza are great. Hot curry was great, too! The mild curry wasn't quite as good and the mabo tofu was just okay. Staff were really polite and the service was quick. The cold water could have been coldee, but there was a bucket of ice that made up for it. We'll be back, I'm sure!

View on GoogleWe came here for lunch on the last day of our winter trip to Hokkaido. We moved early from Shiraoi to Chitose. I'd been thinking of having lunch at the sweets shop "Morimoto Honten", but they didn't have a cooked menu; you could only eat the bread sold in the store in their eat-in space. Well, the bread looked delicious so that would've been fine too... So, that chain from Sapporo, maybe there's one in Chitose too? If there is, let's go there! And sure enough there was, so we went there. That's "Miyoshino Chitose". Their specialty here is gyoza curry. As the name says, gyoza are put on top of curry as a topping. You can choose mild or spicy curry roux. We all went with spicy. When we dug in, oh, this goes together better than I expected. The roux itself has a strong homemade-curry feel, in a good way. Moderately spicy, a flavor that puts everyone at ease. The gyoza doesn't assert itself much either, so I think it goes with any seasoning. That's probably why it's tasty with the curry roux too. Gyoza curry was pretty good. They also have fried scallop curry and fried hokke curry, so I think I'll try those next time. They also have regular Chinese dishes, so I'd like to try those as well.
View on GoogleA curry chain mainly operating in the Sapporo area Curry with gyoza on top and good value for money; not everyone says so, but it seems popular. I ate at the Susukino branch before, but personally I prefer to eat them separately, so I ordered the Miyoshino Set 660 yen It comes with curry, gyoza (6 pieces), and salad. The curry is a homestyle curry that's not too spicy. The gyoza aren't crispy; they're lightly browned with a soft, squishy texture, and vegetable juices come out when you bite in. Curry and gyoza for 660 yen is cheap, so it's kind of like fast food.
View on GoogleI got takeout at the drive-thru, but there was a hair on top of the rice. It was visible even with the lid closed, so I don't see how they could've missed it... What a shame for a meal I was looking forward to. I don't think I'll ever go again.
