Local casual cafe with simple local food such as Udon, Takoyaki, Ice cream, and drinks. The staff is very friendly by providing us extra bowls and water (for 4 of us) despite only ordering 1 bowl of noodles and 1 plate of Takoyaki. Price is economical compared with store beside. Do drop by for a quick bite.

Soft serve - not the best, but delicious enough for a hot day.

Memere (メメール) has really delicious fried manju. The lady at the shop has a wonderful personality too, and I might be going half for her sake (lol). Her son, who shows up in the shop now and then, is adorable too. Full of energy! This time I had coffee too. Just the way I like it, low in acidity! It soaked into my body, which was chilled from touring. With this kind of food you find at roadside stations and the like, the filling is often tasty, but getting to it is... not so much. But Memere's fried manju has a gently sweet dough and is truly delicious. And even though it's fried, it doesn't sit heavy on the stomach! (*important) So I end up eating lots of them without realizing. As good as it is, it's 200 yen each. Until a little while ago it was 150 yen, but maybe because of rising ingredient costs and such, it became 200 yen! No, it's fine. As a fan, I'd rather they raise prices where needed and keep the shop going! I love it so much that I never stop at one each time, I always order another one afterwards! And another one! Lately I've even started ordering 3 from the start! I heard there used to be a restaurant on the 2nd floor until a few years ago, but it's closed due to a labor shortage. Currently only the souvenir/snack shop (takeout shop) on the 1st floor is open. They close on either Wednesday or Thursday, but they're basically open even in winter, I was told! Being in the hot spring town on the shore of Lake Shikotsu, I often stopped by while touring on my motorcycle, but I'll go by car in winter too~! Thanks for the meal, as always!

I had lunch here before boarding the sightseeing boat 😊 I came because it was in the guidebook! The seats are spaced widely apart, so it felt roomy ♪ I ordered the sangen pork butadon and the Funka hamburger steak! The fudadon had a sweet-savory sauce that was delicious, and I felt like I could eat endless rice ✨ The Funka hamburger steak is in demi-glace sauce with tomato mixed in, giving it a tangy kick. The meat was juicy and tender and I finished it in no time! It was a shame the staff seemed a bit low on energy, but I figure it can't be helped in the heat. It was a nice-atmosphere shop with green paintings on display 🤗
