Amazing place!
View on GoogleIn 2026 I enjoyed the air festival here for the first time There were exhibits, merchandise sales! Food trucks and lots more, so much to see but there were long lines everywhere!! I found out later from the news... that a total of 66,000 people came😳 No wonder the line for buying drinks was so long you couldn't see the end🤣🤣🤣 Next time! Advice for you who are thinking of going You should bring your own PET bottle drinks If possible, in a cooler bag🤭 The main event, Blue Impulse, was awesome Feeling the roar of the jet engines up close really gets you pumped🥰 The trip home was tough but... I still want to go again☺️ It makes you want to buy a DSLR camera instead of using your phone and take great photos! 📸
View on GoogleI went to the Chitose Machi air festival. On the way there I was able to take the free shuttle bus from Minami-Chitose Station, which was a great help, but on the way back there was an announcement saying 'Taxis and shuttle buses are extremely crowded, please refrain'!! I had no choice but to walk from Chitose Base to Minami-Chitose Station, and after leaving the base grounds, all the way to the station there were absolutely no shops, convenience stores, or vending machines, truly nothing to drink or eat, I got mild heatstroke, dehydration, a headache and was staggering, On the walk home, elderly people and people with disabilities were also walking while taking repeated breaks, about 3 km, about 1 hour, while watching dozens of empty shuttle buses drive past・・・ Isn't that strange??
View on GoogleI went to the air festival to see Blue Impulse. It was incredibly crowded, but the grounds are large so I could still enjoy it.
View on GoogleThe air festival was far better than I imagined! The downside might be that it's a bit far, about 3 km on foot from Minami-Chitose Station. Free admission is truly appreciated! It was bustling as if there were tens of thousands of people, but because it's spacious, shoulders never bumped.
