About a 5-minute drive from JR Chitose Station after getting onto Route 36, near Shinano Elementary School, is "Bistro Ruelle." It's a place where you can enjoy an authentic bistro, which is rare in Chitose. The interior has 16 seats including counter seats. They apparently remodeled a house into the restaurant, and it has a homey atmosphere, as if you'd been invited to someone's home (#^.^#) ・Sea urchin flan What in Japan would be chawanmushi. Egg, fresh cream, and fond... what is it... I think it's chicken... lol Fluffy egg and creamy fresh cream♪ The gentle saltiness and sweetness of the sea urchin♪ A gentle dish perfect as an appetizer! ・Pan-seared sea bream The skin is crispy! The flesh blends well with the sauce, so it's moist and falls apart in your mouth (*^。^*) The sauce is based on fumet de poisson, runny and as close to a soup as can be, and the flavors of olive oil and dill bring out the umami of the sea bream (≧∇≦) ・Roast duck from Takikawa A dish that makes you think "delicious!" just from its looks! The fatty skin is nicely browned, and the meat inside is cooked so that a hint of red remains. Because it's cooked this way, you can taste the richness full of iron that is unique to duck meat о(ж>▽<)y ☆ The grilled vegetables served alongside were also colorful and fresh! And for dessert ・Crème brûlée with beet sugar and black soybeans, and milk ice cream A very Hokkaido-like dessert with beet sugar and milk ice cream. The refreshing, rich sweetness is unique to beet sugar, isn't it (^^) Including the milk ice cream, the sweetness is restrained, but I didn't feel any lack at all! By the way, the drink paired with the dishes was... ・Paul Messer Brut A French sparkling wine. A gorgeous, delicate aroma, a refreshing and crisp acidity, a light sharpness, and a slight fruit sweetness reminiscent of green apples. I personally love sparkling wine, so I could drink this from before the meal through the meal lol Usually the owner of this restaurant seems to run it alone, but the atmosphere was very calm♪ From the outside, it looks a little hard to enter at first glance, but it's not like that at all, and I think they'll welcome you warmly. A proper bistro in Chitose is quite precious, so I recommend this place for dates and the like (^^)/~~~

I visited for our wedding anniversary. It took about 30 minutes to walk from Chitose Station on the way there. A walk to make the meal taste better. The ingredients of the dishes were all wonderful, and the seasoning wasn't too strong, which was good. Only one thing: the main was pork, but I was already stuffed, so it felt a bit heavy. The bread could be refilled, and the inside was very soft bread. (I forgot the name of the bread.) Both my husband and I like alcohol, and I had them choose wine to match the food at their discretion. I also thought it would be nice to have a course with pairings. Anyway, I was full and so happy. We had the cheaper of the courses, but we were fully satisfied. They called a taxi for us on the way back, which was also helpful. Thank you to the owner for a wonderful time.

I had dinner here on the day we registered our marriage ten years ago. I revisited on our wedding anniversary ten years later. I'll work hard so that I can keep eating healthily ten years from now! Thank you for the meal. Please tell us more about your cat again 😼

A bistro in Chitose. It's a French restaurant, but the lunch lineup is Western-style (yoshoku) dishes. A warm, calm space that is casual yet has elegance in the key places. The owner is brisk and cheerful and very pleasant to deal with, so it's reassuring even for solo visitors. Watching the confident cooking scene in the open kitchen, with its skillful handling and good tempo, makes even the wait for the food exciting. This time the plate was more modern than classical, composed so the flavors of the ingredients shine, and everything including the demi-glace sauce and dressing was very delicious. Lunch seems to be run irregularly, like a satellite operation, but the pattern has finally settled, and they said they have no plans to stop lunch for now. You need to check the shop's Instagram. A shop I want to go to regularly for the first time in a while has appeared. The French, Italian, and Western-style dining scene in Chitose... nice. Although there aren't many soba shops, though (lol).

I went on one of the à la carte days that are held occasionally. It was delicious. The various pâtés with different chewy textures were chewy and delicious, and the experience of complex flavors unfolding in my mouth from the mix of various textures and sauces was a lot of fun too. The chef runs it alone so seemed busy, but it was impressive how they seemed to be enjoying it while caring for the customers. It was a very good time. Thank you for the meal.
