Went on 2019−10−9. Lots of shops have gone vacant and it's run-down, but the beer place is still going strong. We drank up the three main kinds, then drifted into a nearby izakaya. Last order is 21:30, so it closes early—watch out.

All-you-can-eat is available for 2 or more people, and it's a good deal at around 2000 yen for men. There's also all-you-can-drink, but unless you drink 4 or more mugs of beer, ordering individually is better value. It was delicious and I got really full

I booked for about 25 people, adults and kids. About 17 adults. An all-you-can-drink course meal and meals for the kids. So at this place, all-you-can-drink = beer, huh. Even though I'd confirmed every adult's order, they just went ahead and kept bringing pitchers of beer. More than half of the adults' orders were soft drinks, you know? The beer gets warm, and the local beer we didn't order tasted awful and came by the pitcher—the worst. Beer pitchers at a table full of kids. To the staff: you might want to think things through a bit more. I'll say it again: all-you-can-drink does not mean beer. I never want to go again.

◎A place where you can drink Hokkaido beer "Pirika Wakka" at the brewery◎ Above all, it's a beer hall restaurant where you can enjoy local beer inside a shop attached to the brewery. "Pirika Wakka" apparently means "beautiful water" in Ainu—a fitting name for a Hokkaido local beer made with Chitose's clean water. The menu centers on Western food that goes with beer, like tonkatsu, pasta, and hamburg steak, and perhaps because it's in Chitose, the hometown of salmon, they also have the "Salmon Hometown Bowl" and seafood dishes; lunch options are plentiful and prices are reasonable. There's an all-you-can-drink menu with 4 kinds of local beer, plus all-you-can-eat Genghis Khan and pork shabu, so large groups can use it too. Chitose is a beer kingdom where beer lovers can hop between the Sapporo Beer and Kirin Beer factories and more.
