Since I was in 美幌, I searched around and visited right away because this place was popular and looked delicious. It was Sunday lunchtime, so the queue stretched outside the shop. The jumbo pork buns seemed popular, so I ordered 2 pork buns (313円 each) and karaage (432円). Side dishes such as karaage were displayed ready-made; maybe they don't replenish them once they're gone? The karaage was a little strongly seasoned, which I like, and the portion was generous for the price, so I thought it was good value. The pork bun wasn't what I'd imagined. The dough wasn't fluffy, but heavy, like fairly firm bread. I'd imagined a filling overflowing with meat juices, but there was no juiciness at all; it was like a dry meatball. Toward the end I got tired of it, so I washed it down with tea. Still, 1 bun is big enough to be a main meal, so I thought it was good value.

I'd seen a YouTuber eating it and thought I'd go if I had the chance, so I went. But there was a queue inside. I have an old spinal injury, so even standing for a few minutes causes pain and cold sweats. This time too, I endured the pain to buy it. I wanted to eat nearby, so I searched the navigation system for a nearby park with parking, but it took me to a small park with no parking lot…… Not knowing the area, I drove around at random, ended up going over a mountain, and it got cold…… When it's cold, the huge size works against it. I finished it, but thought, this is a lot(–_–“). It was delicious, so that was a shame. Actually, some people were eating in the parking lot, so maybe I should've done that?‎🤔

My first visit. There was a huge queue even before opening. It barely moved too, and I felt a little stressed, wondering whether they could serve people faster. I joined the queue in the afternoon, but the chicken bun I wanted was already sold out, so I reluctantly ordered a pork bun. I hadn't imagined it would be this big at this price, so I thought the value was unbeatable. I regretted not sharing 1 between 2 people. Sure enough, I couldn't finish it. The filling was very meaty, with a strong black pepper flavor and no particular savoriness. It really wasn't for me, and I regretted it after one bite. The surrounding dough was also drier than I'd imagined; I thought convenience-store meat buns would taste better than this. It just felt big and nothing more. Maybe the chicken bun would have been a little different~… But I probably won't buy one again.

Visited 2026 5/3. I was looking forward to it. Eat the meat buns while they're warm or reheat them. I went on a holiday and queued for 1 hour. Go prepared if you're visiting on a holiday. There was no gyoza that day. Apart from the meat buns, everything is already made and packaged, so you choose and buy it. Even if it's cold, you can heat it in a microwave there. The meat buns are big, so 1 between 2 people might be enough. Taste is a matter of preference. Good value for money.

This is a takeout shop we saw with high ratings on Google Maps, mainly selling meat buns. Both the pork and chicken buns are popular, but it was almost closing time when we arrived, so only pork buns were left. The meat buns are huge, bigger than a fist and probably about palm-sized. The outer dough is chewy; I've never had a meat bun with this texture before. The meat filling is substantial too, packed right in. The flavor is good, like the vegetable-and-meat buns we usually eat, but with a stronger pepper taste. They also sell other items here, such as karaage fried chicken and Japanese shumai. Most customers are older, and it's very popular with locals too.
