Amazing food made with local ingredients. The fish was considerably crunchy and delicious. I almost missed this place because it doesn't look like a restaurant from the outside.

I had the yamame set meal. It came with yamame, miso soup, and rice, and was quite filling. The yamame was fried crisp, and I got to enjoy wild mountain vegetables too. It was very delicious (^^) Fresh. The place feels like an old-fashioned diner. (^^)

Visited for lunch on a weekday. It seemed like people working nearby come here for lunch. A married couple runs the place, and the husband does all the cooking by himself. I ordered the omurice for 700円. There were around 4 other customers, so I waited a little while as he prepared the orders in turn. Inside was butter rice rather than ketchup rice. Unusually, the filling also included bamboo shoots. The rice wasn't packed with ingredients. It was a generous portion that pretty much filled the plate. But the butter rice was pleasantly light, so I finished it easily. I felt like I could probably have managed a large portion too. Personally, I like ketchup rice, so I thought it would be nice to have that as an option!
