Shinei-no-Oka Observatory Park (新栄の丘展望公園) – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This was one of those places that completely surprised me. The views from Shinei-no-Oka Observatory Park are absolutely stunning and really showcase the beauty of Hokkaido’s countryside. Standing at the top and looking out across the rolling hills and patchwork fields was incredibly relaxing. What I loved most was how peaceful the area felt. There weren’t huge crowds, and it gave me the chance to simply enjoy the scenery and take my time. The landscapes seem to stretch forever, and every direction offers another beautiful photo opportunity. The gentle breeze and open space made it one of the most calming places I visited during my trip. It’s not a place with lots of attractions or activities, but that’s exactly what makes it special. If you enjoy nature, photography, or simply sitting somewhere quiet and taking in the view, I highly recommend stopping here. It ended up being one of my favourite viewpoints in Biei.

Beautiful and therapeutic. Good to take some time here to appreciate the scenery together with the farm milk ice cream.

Basically it's just yellow green field which wasn't as great as plenty of lavender farms around furano. But here you have all the world yourself peace of mind and serenity. You wouldn't see mountain people mountain sea here and you may take your own sweet time to relax, reflect and rest your mind. I personally like the vast landscape with mountains behind. Love the couple chair that make great photos.

Worth a stop if you are nearby. There are informative boards about the history of farming industry in this area. Additionally, there’s an ice cream store and a cozy coffee roastery where you can take a relaxing break and enjoy some treats before continuing your journey.

Seeing the fields from the high point. Although it’s not the harvest season and it is rainy, it would be nice to visit in a sunny. The café there sells very tasty strawberry milk shake made with biei milk & ice cream. I was really impressed.
