Despite the signs on the main road and the hours open in Google we were disappointed that it was closed on the day we visited.

This is a Banksy exhibition. Admission is 1,000 yen, and they kindly allow you to take photos and videos freely. I visited in early July of Reiwa 8. I was the only visitor. I could view it calmly. These are replicas of Banksy's works. With paintings, I like to follow the brushwork, so I prefer originals, but that doesn't matter with Banksy's works, so replicas are perfectly sufficient. And perhaps because of that, photography and filming are allowed freely. Wonderful. I previously saw a Banksy exhibition somewhere else, but it was crowded, photography was prohibited, and admission was expensive, so I felt rather underwhelmed. This one covers the famous works properly, includes explanations, has a nice atmosphere and quite a lot of exhibits, and was well worth seeing. I think Banksy fans would find it worth visiting 1 time. If I could ask for more, though, a video work inspired by Banksy would have made it even better. Still, I was satisfied without that. They say posting on social media is also allowed, but I'll only include some photos.

Works by 榎木孝明 were previously exhibited here. Currently, many Banksy replicas are on display. The building is a closed elementary school, but it is well preserved and very clean. It was also built with a great deal of money for its time.

西美の杜美術館 Sorry, this is purely my personal taste. I especially love Enoki's Japanese World Heritage series of works☆彡 These are cards, but I'd like you to see them(__) Admission is free until the final day, so if you'd like, why not let Enoki's paintings soothe you too? They truly put my heart at ease・・・ Lovely works by Mr. Ono, who had neither arm, were also exhibited before・・・ Sorry, I'll linger in this feeling a little longer・・・ Continuing with art museums, I'll introduce this place too. Even someone like me has visited here. I like 榎木孝明's watercolors☆ Oil paintings are nice too, but I like watercolors♪ It may be presumptuous, but I like the atmosphere and touch of Enoki's work, and the flying birds in his landscape paintings^^ Of course, that's not all^^: There are many wonderful works by other artists☆ (It's closed in winter) Oh~what a terrible shame~(:_;) Apparently it will close permanently at the end of October this year, which is truly shocking・・・ I went right away~of course I love Enoki's paintings, but I also really like his personality, and he's a good actor and a handsome man・・・ I've visited several times (the other artists are wonderful too), but I took another careful look, thinking again how lovely the paintings are☆ Enoki's works, painted on his beloved travels not only around Biei・Furano but throughout Hokkaido, really draw me in☆ It seems running this museum in Biei is also difficult (and there are Enoki's circumstances too), so it's very sad that it's ending. Since it was my birthday this time, (as a present to myself) I couldn't buy a very expensive painting, but I bought one♪ After much indecision, I chose a painting with my hometown of Biei as its theme☆ I put it on the wall right away. The other two are cards I received when I bought it, and the blue frame is something I bought on my previous visit. Each has a signature on the back of the frame. Of course, photography is prohibited inside, but I only took a photo of the entrance. Actually, that's not allowed here either, is it? But since it's the last time, please forgive me. Please<(_ _)>
