Lucky Pierrot Esashi Entrance is one of those places that feels like a reward after a long drive along Hokkaido’s quieter coastal roads. Sitting just before you enter Esashi, it’s an easy stop with a big parking area and the familiar, slightly chaotic Lucky Pierrot personality. Inside, the retro décor and quirky themes immediately remind you that this isn’t a standard fast-food chain, and that’s part of the appeal. The food is hearty and unapologetically filling, with the Chinese Chicken burger standing out as the go-to choice, messy, sweet, savory, and satisfying. Service can take a bit of time since everything is cooked fresh, but that feels acceptable given the portion sizes and the relaxed, road-trip atmosphere. It’s not fancy and it’s definitely not quiet, but as a casual meal stop before or after exploring Esashi, this branch delivers exactly what Lucky Pierrot is known for: comfort food, character, and a very Hokkaido kind of charm.

Got here at 2pm, well after normal lunch time. It's now 3pm and I still haven't even been able to order! Absurdly long wait times due to restaurant being severely understaffed. Am not expecting to be eating for at least another 30+ minutes watching the rate of food coming out of the kitchen. To be fair, it is Sunday during golden week, but this is literally the opposite of fast food. Don't come here unless you want to waste you whole day standing around.

We ordered Hamburg Meat and curry rice and the "Let's Eat Meat Burger", and the food was better than expected. The atmosphere was relaxed and kid-friendly.

Retro burger joint native to Hakodate in northern Japan. Signature chicken burger was okay, too much sauce and mayo for me 3*. The coffee soft serve with coffee jelly was fantastic though 5* !
