Have a lunch break here and decided to try their premium beef and butadon set. Really good especially the beef, highly recommended!

This is a diner run by a senior colleague of Chiharu Matsuyama, connected to the souvenir shop next door. When I went on a tour, I was told a limited number of special-grade pork bowls (Tokujo Butadon) could be reserved in advance, so I reserved one. I had read in a manga that "the trick to making a delicious beef bowl is to use good meat," so I followed that. The taste was like "yep, it's butadon," without the pressure of "good pork, right?" you get at high-end butadon shops. I felt this is probably the kind of butadon locals make. The souvenir shop next door is very well stocked, from Chiharu Matsuyama goods to original cheese and wine. Someone on the same tour bought a Chiharu Matsuyama handkerchief. A good choice for getting laughs.
