Considering the times these days… it's just so cheap‼︎ Reasonable 👍 I had the katsu curry and shoyu ramen. The ramen felt a little light in flavor? but considering how it pairs with the katsu curry, maybe that was good. My wife ordered the double katsu, which was hearty 👍 It was run by a gentle elderly couple. Thanks for the meal♪
View on Google2026/6 A shop I'd been curious about for a while. Um, everyone. If you're going in a large group, in a hurry, or don't have time and peace of mind to spare, please stay away. It's a shop run by an elderly couple who must be over 80. Very slow-motion; it takes time until food is served. A weekday just past 13:00. Inside, one regular about to finish their katsu curry. I ordered katsudon and shoyu ramen. Then one person who came in after me ordered the double katsu set meal. 3 orders in total. After 30 minutes, the double katsu set came out first. About 5 more minutes, and finally my katsudon and ramen arrived one after the other. I had the katsudon. A rich, not-very-sweet warishita (secret ingredient: sauce?), and the katsu was freshly fried with a crispy texture, tasty. The ramen had a light chicken bone broth? The noodles and chashu were tasty too. The double katsu set person was kept waiting quite a while for the receipt, but kindly said "thanks for the meal." The katsu curry regular also kindly said "thanks for the meal." I followed suit and said "thanks for the meal." The couple running the shop said a loud "Thank you~" too. Because of their age it takes time, but it's a good shop. Stay healthy forever. I'll come again when it's not crowded. Zetsumeshi joint forever~. Lastly, you should raise your prices. They're Showa-era prices.
View on GoogleThe double katsu set meal is 2 tonkatsu for 1000 yen, so I think it's a pretty good deal. It's a long-established shop run by an elderly couple, so if there are customers ahead of you, it's best to expect the food to take a while. Smoking is allowed at the seats, which I personally appreciate, but non-smokers should avoid it.
View on GoogleRamen for 500 yen these days! Pricing that makes you want to quip, "Is this the Showa era?!" Apparently they haven't raised prices since Heisei 9❗️ The hire katsu curry is also an honest 800 yen! The portion was huge. It somehow feels nice, like eating at a relative's house! Recently they finally remembered my face and called me "the katsudon guy" (lol)
View on GoogleI arrived right at the 11:30 opening. The shop is an old-fashioned Showa-era diner. There are 8 counter seats and tatami tables in the back. Today I had the standard katsudon for 700 yen❗ It's just cheap 💴⤵ Great value❗ The katsudon came with pickles and miso soup. The taste was safe. It was delicious. It was run by a married couple.
