Best soy ramen I’ve ever had. My husband had a spicy miso ramen to die for. Nothing fancy, just great food…. Which is the whole point. Thank you to our friend for taking us here. We will be back.
View on GooglePrice hike again~~~💦💦 Apparently it was from July 1, 2026… Miso ramen 1100 yen Shoyu ramen 1000 yen Business hours: Tuesday and Friday 11:00–14:30 Other days 11:00–18:00 so don't get it wrong… Looks like there are no regular closing days for now Today I had the shoyu ramen The chashu was just a little softer than usual, and maybe slightly bigger… the seasoning was just a little different somehow… so the shoyu ramen soup also tasted a bit different than usual Still delicious, though It feels like an old-fashioned shoyu ramen. It's like diner-style ramen; when you want something light, go for shoyu Adding butter is recommended too Rice disappeared from the menu quite a while ago, which is a shame though 😢
View on GoogleIt's such a classic of classics that in Asahikawa, there's (probably) nobody who doesn't know that miso ramen means Yoshino. There are two types, with vegetables and without vegetables (with chashu), and I ordered the recommended one with vegetables. It's loaded with vegetables, so the health-related guilt is reduced too. The flavor is on the strong side and quite spicy, but you could say it's so complete it doesn't need any improvement. However, there's one thing to watch out for when eating at the food court: the soup is filled right up to the brim of the bowl, so if you've grabbed a seat far from the shop, you'll end up carrying the tray with trembling hands to avoid spilling. So when you eat at Yoshino, I recommend securing a table as close as possible.
View on GoogleAsahikawa is known for shoyu ramen, but Yoshino's miso ramen is slightly spicy and addictive. It's also packed with bean sprouts and onions I always stop by when I come to Asahikawa The roadside station shop is easy to park at, and I think it's a hidden gem.
View on GoogleI visited the roadside station shop. I ordered miso ramen with chashu as a topping. I've been to the Toyooka shop several times, but since about 10 years have passed I can't compare precisely; still, my personal impression is: isn't it far worse? At this rate, I'd be better off making the instant kind sold at the supermarket myself. The instant one is perfectly tasty. The chashu topping was cold, and while the center of the bowl was hot, overall it was lukewarm. The soup was also a bit thin, with less spiciness. The garlic did come through. There's a slight chance they adjusted it because the Jibasan Center food terrace clientele is mostly elderly people and tourists, but I strongly suspect it's left to part-timers without proper supervision, and it wasn't something I could call delicious. The staff were also curt, maybe because they were overwhelmed. Even though it was empty, the food took a long time. I plan to go to the Toyooka shop to check. Rather than eating Yoshino ramen here, you're better off not eating at all.
