Lovely shop managed by a single chef. The Ramen is made with the delicious Asahikawa bone broth style. It's really amazing food for a cheap price.

View on GoogleDespite often driving past this shop, I had never once gone inside. Today, the perfect opportunity finally came to try the traditional ramen at 「特一番」. Inside, the layout is unusual, with a small staircase. The nostalgic, characterful atmosphere is lovely. It was a slightly chilly day. Before entering, I had decided on 「shoyu ramen」, but when I actually saw the menu, my brain was completely craving 「miso ramen」, so I ordered miso without hesitation! The miso ramen arrived with a white-miso-based broth, mellow sweetness, and a delicious flavor. The noodles were chewy and medium-thick, holding the broth well. The toppings were fragrantly stir-fried bean sprouts and carrots, plus chashu and menma—the classic lineup that defines Asahikawa miso ramen. It was a bowl that gently warmed my chilled body, and I enjoyed it to the very last bite. I was thoroughly satisfied with this traditional flavor that has been loved for years. Thank you for the meal!
View on Google北海道旭川市 特一番 本町店 A neighborhood Chinese-style restaurant with a retro atmosphere where you can enjoy miso ramen and fried rice. Visited in early March 2026. The fried rice set was 1,250円, with an extra 150円 to switch to miso. Note that the parking lot is not on the Asahikawa Station side; it is on the left when facing the shop from the front. The interior has an old-fashioned atmosphere, with plenty of manga available. Both the miso ramen and fried rice were nicely tasty—the kind of place you would casually drop into if you lived nearby. Price-wise, it certainly cannot be called cheap, so I would not give it a high overall rating, but it seems very convenient for local regulars. A worthwhile option when you want to take your time eating ramen and fried rice in a retro atmosphere.
