Great lunch to power you through a day of skiing! Loved the spicy miso ramen, the noodles were incredible. Objectively good ramen, even though it’s on a ski resort! Also the beer vending machine was good fun :)

WOW!! This place is phenomenal!!! I highly recommend this place. One of the best ramens I have had and I have had 100’s. The Soyu broth is delicious and so is the noodles and the meat. Staff are super friendly as well. Don’t miss this place!

I visited Ramen Shokudo NOBu's Links branch inside Kamui Ski Links after reading a review saying it serves authentic ramen that stands apart from the usual compromised ski-resort ramen. This restaurant has a distinguished background, reportedly reviving the flavor of the famous Asahikawa ramen shop Ramen Tenkin (Gojo Tenkin). As slope-side food, it offered top-level value and quality! The shoyu ramen I ordered this time had a fragrant flavor like scorched soy sauce and piping-hot soup covered with plenty of lard! The film of oil on top acts as a lid, so even when your body's chilled from the snowy mountain, it stays hot and delicious right to the end. The noodles are straight with just the right springiness and pair superbly with the rich soup. The ajitama topping is cooked firm with a strong, punchy saltiness, giving it a presence that certainly isn't overwhelmed by the powerful soup. Basic ramen (shoyu, shio, and so on) costs around 1,000円 per bowl. You order by buying a meal ticket from a machine, but it accepts various cashless payment methods as well as cash, which is convenient and deserves praise. Sides include the signature “chashu onigiri” and mini curry, but there is no fried rice or gyoza. Instead, for big eaters wanting a substantial meal, there's apparently a secret menu item of 3 portions of ramen that isn't on the ticket machine (you reportedly order it by telling the staff directly). It operates only during the winter season, with hours around 10:30~15:00 (last orders 14:30). Being able to eat such well-made, authentic ramen inside a ski resort is truly rare. If you visit Kamui Ski Links, this is a recommended restaurant absolutely worth stopping at!
