Great food! Cheap too! The soba noodles were nice, smooth and chewy. The soup was slightly sweet and went really well with the squid. The handmade udon was super good, great texture and bite. I expected the squid donburi to be sticky given the amount of flour, but it was smooth and went down well. Squid soba (hot) 550 yen Squid donburi 600 yen Squid udon (hot) 550 yen (You can add a side of udon/soba for 200 yen) The small store is manned by an old couple who were very friendly and helpful despite my broken Japanese. I didn't know the various combinations you could order and she walked me through it. The friendly customers helped to create a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. They helped me translate words like chopsticks lol. It's a limited menu, but the food is delicious.

You would definitely regret if you don’t try it before leaving Asahikawa! I tried their best known one. Simple but tasty. With a incredible low price. The best!!

Have a set of fried squid rice bowl and ramen, it is delicious and low price. Plus, the owner is very friendly.
