We stopped for lunch as two couples from 2 families on our way from Asahiyama Zoo to Furano. The restaurant really is among rice fields, and we wondered whether there could be a place here while looking for it, but found it easily. It seems to be a converted house, with a country-style atmosphere. We arrived right at lunchtime, but ours was the only group. Thinking, hmm, will this be okay? We were shown the menu by a pleasant lady, and the two husbands ordered hamburger steaks while the two wives ordered pancake sets. The hamburger steaks were delicious. Both wives raved about the pancakes. They said it had been ages since they'd had pancakes this good, rating both the appearance and taste highly. Apparently they were so good they couldn't understand why the place wasn't more popular. Well, since it's among rice fields away from the main road, maybe it doesn't need to be that busy? Incidentally, the hamburger steaks the two husbands ate were pretty good. They were colorful and tasted homemade in a good way. We paid while thinking the place deserved more business. When we went out to the parking lot, a Hokkaido red fox greeted us. It's a restaurant we'd definitely like to stop at again when visiting Biei.

I went with a parfait and soda. It was lunchtime, but I'd already eaten, so this was for my separate dessert stomach (LOL). The conclusion: I shouldn't have eaten beforehand. I should have eaten here too(о´∀`о) The staff are kind, the atmosphere is wonderful, and any guilt about doing this on a weekday•••none at all (haha). Let's come again♬

They seemed to be operating with a reduced menu. I had sautéed chicken with orange sauce. My friend had loco moco. The chicken was tender and the orange sauce was really delicious, but the side vegetables were hard and seemed dried out, which was a real shame. I went at the beginning of 4月, and the interior was freezing. They had blankets, but it was too cold for that to solve the problem.

I visited around 12:00. Perhaps because it was a weekday, there was only one other group. The weather was good, and the scenery outside was beautiful. That day's Hinode gohan was chicken with basil sauce. The dressing was sweet and very refreshing, and all the accompanying side dishes were delicious too. The main chicken initially looked like it might not be quite enough, but I was full when I finished,,, haha. The price is fairly high, but considering the portion and everything, I think it's reasonable. The handmade-goods corner on the 2nd floor also had a lovely atmosphere, and there were antique items scattered around both the first and 2nd floors, which were for sale too. I'd definitely like to go again!
