Good morning everyone. This is breakfast wandering at Asahikawa station. You can eat Horokanai Soba. Topping is asparagus tempura as in Hokkaido. The soba is posh and simple, and has a special feeling. The announcement at the station that the train was delayed because it collided with a deer is also good and typical of Hokkaido!
View on GoogleNo frills soba standing soba restaurant. The soup was rich and tasted really good. Seen this around over the years. It’s located within jr asahikawa station.
View on GoogleA station soba and ekiben shop at Asahikawa Station. The soba from Horokanai was satisfying and delicious. Besides the counter seats, you can also eat at the tables in front of the shop. After ordering, they bring it to your seat, which is convenient. They also sell ekiben, inari sushi, onigiri and more, but the "Ezo no Uni Bento" is especially recommended.
View on GoogleThe ekiben stand and station soba shop at Asahikawa Station. There's a counter for eating standing up, but you can also eat at the tables in the waiting room. It seems quite popular; I visited around 2 PM and many people were slurping soba. This time I ordered the recommended herring soba, and the slightly sweet broth and the strongly flavored soba from Horokanai were delicious.
View on GoogleStanding soba in Asahikawa too! If they say Horokanai soba, any standing-soba enthusiast has no choice but to eat it The broth is mainly kombu dashi, with a gentle flavor. You could also call it bland (though that's a matter of taste) The all-important soba is boiled noodles, so the quality is the same as ordinary standing soba. The soba flavor and aroma are slightly stronger, that's all, so don't expect too much The tempura is the standard kind fried in advance and left sitting 730 yen for this is just a tourist-spot price By the way, since it was close to closing, the tempura was half price making it 615 yen, in which case it's just about acceptable But more than the quality This is a place where you want to feel the meaning of eating standing soba at Asahikawa Station Personally, I'm satisfied to have eaten standing soba here By the way, the counter is full with about 5 people. There are table seats in the passage, so if you want to eat calmly, go there
