26.4.1 AM The free parking lot is fairly spacious, with toilets and an observation deck. I took a short break while looking at the beautiful sea. But for the view, it might also be worth going a little farther east to 道の駅厚岸グルメパーク🤔

It gets plenty of visitors because it's along a main road. A parking area near 厚岸. The toilets are clean, too. Having trash bins is appreciated. And the view is great as well.

Visited on May 1, 2025. There was nobody there when I arrived at 6 in the morning. The weather was good, so I could enjoy a panoramic view of 厚岸 Bay. You can see scenery that hardly feels like Japan.

This place has wonderful scenery. Despite that, there are usually very few people, perhaps because 道の駅コンキリエ is so close by. There are toilets and vending machines, so it's a good place to take a breather and look at the beautiful sea.
